The TOP OF OHIO UMPIRES ASSOCIATION is an OHSAA certified association organized for the purpose of training and supporting
baseball and fastpitch s
oftball umpires to officiate Ohio high school sporting events. The members of the Top of Ohio Umpires Association are a group of like-minded individuals who take an interest in the development of our local athletes by becoming involved with their sporting activities. We, as a group, enjoy the opportunity to take an active part in a sport that we really enjoy. While continually striving to improve our performance as an official and administrator of the game we love, we share a mutual desire to be the best role models to our student athletes on and off of the field.
Congratulations to our own Top of Ohio softball umpires (Galen Harris, John (JP) Schulz, and Dave DeVelvis) for being selected to work the 2025 OHSAA State Semi-final or Championship games at Akron Firestone Stadium, in June of 2025.
The Top of Ohio Umpires Association was well represented at Firestone Stadium in Akron in 2025. Harris and Schulz were both assigned to work the Div II State Semi-Final game between Painesville Riverside and Massillon Perry, while Develvis was assigned to the Div V State Championship game, between Wheelersburg and Liberty Union.
