Congratulations to the 2015 Top of Ohio Umpires Association Hall of Fame Inductees. Elected by the association membership were officials Ed Mouser (accepted above by granddaughter, Ashley), Larry Shroyer, Gerald Stillings (accepted above by son, Jeff) and Larry Friedel. We thank them all for their many years of dedicated service to the OHSAA sports of baseball and fastpitch softball and to the youth of Ohio.

Ed Mouser

Born and raised in Hunstville, Ohio
Graduated from Indian Lake High School in 1970
Married Diane in 1970
Has 2 children – Ryan and Stacey

 

 

 

 

Started umpiring baseball in 1973
Took 100 T or F question closed book test given by Rocky Teets at Bellefontaine High School
Started umpiring career as member of Urbana Umpire Association
Meetings were held at “Rocky’s Clubhouse” in Urbana
Later became member of the Bellefontaine Umpire Association
Led by Joe Ledley and Rocky Teets
Later to become Top of Ohio Umpires Association

Became Softball umpire in 1978
Currently (as of 2016) officiating Football ( 40+ years)

– Officiated the Div III Semi Finals 3 times
– Officiated the NAIA National Championship game in Savanah, Tennessee between Georgetown, KY and NW Oklahoma State

Born and raised in Kenton, Ohio

Graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1971

One son, Ryan who is married to Michelle with a Grandson – Keegan

 

 

 

Very active through the years at all levels of the Logan County Baseball Association

Served as an officer of the Little League and Pony League board

Active in the Huntsville Baseball Association as an officer and long- time coach
